Telford branch

33 Church Street, Wellington Telford TF1 1DG

Since opening its doors in January 2011, The Award Winning, Goodchild’s Telford has seen huge success and growth from a cold start up to a thriving estate agency and lettings business. In a very competitive market place the branch prides itself in turning difficult property sales where other agents have faltered, into results. Now part of the bigger Newton Fallowell network the branch continues to go from strength to strength.

Ran by managing director, Nick Labocha, the branch specialises in residential sales, residential lettings, financial services, mortgages, conveyancing solutions, new build part exchanges, land valuations and new build sales. The office boasts spacious modern facilities including a conference room, private offices for mortgage consultations and plenty of customer parking to the rear.

The close-knit team pride themselves on their commitment to take on any property sales or lettings challenge to get the best possible results for their customers. Rather than seeing themselves as estate agents, they prefer the term property consultants as they don’t just sell houses, but guide the customer right through the sales process from start to finish. Our staff offer out of hours viewings to help customers who may be busy working during office hours and clients also have 24/7 contact to the company director if they should need assistance. There is no automated answer machine when customers call. Only a helpful member of staff who you can get to know and work with closely whatever your requirements.

“We built our business during a difficult marketplace during the last recession. We have seen every situation imaginable to do with property sales and lettings. You can rest assured that by bringing your property to us, you are dealing with one of the most experienced property teams in the Telford area that gives honest and realistic advice to get the best possible price for your property”.

 Nick Labocha, Managing Director

"Very helpful, with initial enquiry. Dedicated and committed to the end. Professional throughout. Definitely would recommend Goodchilds"

Liann Gurthrie

"Excellent service from day one. Nick sold my house within two days. Sadly, time wasters let us down, but he sold it again immediately. He kept me up to date, and his negotiation skills are excellent. His advice was valued and appreciated. If you want a stress feel transaction then Goodchild’s can help. Nick gave me full confidence throughout what could have been, a stressful time. I would recommend Goodchild’s services to anyone, thank you Lisa."

"I have recently used Goodchild’s to let my property out. It all went really smoothly, would recommend highly. Feel very reassured as I've never let out a property before and feel in safe hands."

Telford area guide

Telford is one of the larger patches in the Goodchild’s / Newton Fallowell Network. With an estimated population (for the borough) of 170,300 in 2010 and around 155,000 in Telford itself, Telford is the largest town in Shropshire, and one of the fastest-growing towns in the United Kingdom. It is named after civil engineer Thomas Telford, who engineered many road and rail projects in Shropshire. Having an eclectic mix of older period properties dating back to the industrial revolution and one of the most ambitious new build projects in the country, the town is thriving and very property centric.

Telford Centre is a hub of activity from its popular shopping centre to its mix of restaurants and bars, ice rink and town park. There are also many smaller towns surrounding Telford including Ironbridge, the birthplace of the industrial revolution. Here you will find a range of public houses and restaurants close to the River Severn and a range of historical museums providing days of entertainment for the family.

Towards the west of Telford lies Wellington, a market town known for its proximity to the Wrekin. The Wrekin is a popular walking destination with views towards the welsh hills and mountains, Shropshire plain and west midlands. Job opportunities are high in the Telford area as many larger businesses have relocated to the business parks and I54 in recent years. People choose to live in Telford mainly as house prices are traditionally cheaper than surrounding areas such as Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton meaning you get more property for your money. That combined with a vast array of new build homes means the area is becoming ever more popular.

The main transport links in Telford are the M54 which runs east to west through the conurbation. With four junctions it is the quickest way to travel as well as the Queensway which travels from North to south. The town also has four train stations, Oakengates, Wellington, Shifnal and Telford Centre making commuting between Shrewsbury, Birmingham, Wolverhampton and London (with new direct rail links) easy.

Telford is a particularly unusual area in terms of buying property. It has it all! Having an industrial Victorian past there are a range of character properties dotted all around the Telford area whilst some of the most prestigious house builders in the country such as Redrow, David Wilson, Barrett’s and Taylor Wimpy continue to keep up with new build demand in the area. Whether you are looking for the amenities of a town or a rural life, Telford can offer it all. Telford also is a great place for aspiring landlords providing brilliant rental returns and generally lower prices than other areas in the Midlands.
